Today, I choose to celebrate PEACE. I pledge to share positive thoughts and sincere compassion to disarm fear and uncertainty. To appreciate art that makes me breathe with happiness and fulfillment. I am one with the millions who believe that tomorrow will be better. As we strive to heal, Mother Nature heals. Back when things were at their worst, you were there. And when there are reasons to smile back to the Universe, you are always there. That hand of yours over my shoulders is always there to remind me that things will be OK or that things will be better than best. Happy Birthday, Kuya Knoi. I wish you all the happiness and may God’s choicest blessings be upon you today and everyday. I thank God for giving me a present by your presence. 🙏🏻💛

A couple of weeks before ECQ, and not knowing that there will be ECQ, I grabbed a number of books from Powerbooks. One of which is called, ‘The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry.’ I picked it up this morning while having my coffee, and started reading it. What an apt book to read as this virus has forced many, if not all of us to eliminate many things in our life that we hurry about. It says people in a rush don’t have time to enter the goodness of the moment. We have taken for granted our capacity to give attention. And that we should remind ourselves that attention is the beginning of awareness and devotion. It rightly stated that “...what you give your attention to is the person you become.” The last 6 weeks has given most of us the time to give attention to things that we would otherwise take for granted. We became more grateful of the things that we have and become more indifferent on the things we thought we should have. In the homily in this morning’s mass, the priest in his final blessings said, “Glorify the Lord by your life....” And with this, may today and everyday, we give our attention to those that matter the most so that the life we live becomes a living witness of God’s mercy and love, Amen.

Here Comes the Sun... I read that in one of the hospitals, everytime a Covid patient recovers and gets discharged from the hospital, the song Here Comes the Sun is played in the hospitals’ public address and voice alarm systems - injecting hope and joy to everyone who would hear it. Until last week, I could happily walk around in the morning (with mask and maintaining distance) along the pool area in our condominium and get some sun. But few days ago, restrictions were imposed. I am now contained in a tiny corner of my room, where the sun greets me between 6:30AM to 8:00AM. This morning, while greeting the mighty sun, I asked Alexa to play the song, Here Comes the Sun... Today is my Papa’s 16th Death Anniversary. I pray that through the intercessions of our dearly departed, the Angels and Saints and Our Lady, that hospital will play the song Here Comes the Sun over and over again... Stay Safe, Universe. 💛
